WHO WRITES THIS
About
The Boring CISO is written by Gagan V Singh, a cybersecurity professional based in London, United Kingdom. The premise is in the name: security explained plainly, without the theatrics. No fear, no hype, just what the terms mean and what to actually do about them.
The person behind it
Gagan is the founder of Learn Security Management, a CISSP exam preparation platform built to give back to the cybersecurity community. It began as a YouTube channel sharing CISSP knowledge and grew into a full learning resource with practice questions, exam strategy, and direct support for candidates. The Boring CISO is the written companion to that work: the same plain-English teaching, applied to the day-to-day reality of running security in a real organisation.
Credentials
Certifications held: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCZT, CCSK, PMP, Security+.
What The Boring CISO is for
The site covers five areas: AI security, fundamentals, leadership and GRC, threats and incidents, and tooling. Articles favour comparisons and clear definitions over buzzwords, and every entry in the glossary is written to be genuinely useful on its own.
