Deepfake
A deepfake is synthetic audio, video, or imagery generated by AI to convincingly impersonate a real person.
Voice cloning now needs only seconds of sample audio, and video impersonation has been used live on conference calls. Fraudsters use deepfakes for payment fraud, executive impersonation, and bypassing voice or video identity checks.
