A large language model (LLM) is an AI model trained on massive amounts of text to predict the next token, which enables it to generate and work with language fluently.
Modern LLMs are built on the transformer architecture, contain billions of parameters, and are the engines behind assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot.
