Model owner
A model owner is the named person accountable for a specific AI model in production: its performance, its risks, and the decision to retrain, roll back, or retire it.
Governance falls apart without one. When no single name sits against a model, nobody owns the call to pull it when it drifts or misbehaves, and the risk quietly becomes everyone’s and therefore no one’s.
