Bayes' theorem
Bayes' theorem is a rule for updating the probability that something is true as new evidence arrives, combining prior belief with fresh data.
It underpins classic spam filters and much of risk quantification. For a security leader it is a useful mental model: one alert rarely proves an incident, but each new signal should shift your estimate up or down.
