Bayesian network
A Bayesian network is a model that maps how uncertain factors influence each other, so you can reason about the probability of one event given what you know about the others.
In security it appears in risk and attack-path modelling: given a known vulnerability and a weak control, how likely is a given outcome? It makes chains of probability explicit rather than guessed.
